Strawberry Picking

Over the Labour Day long weekend, the boys and I visited with my sister and her family, who are now living much closer after many years in the Northern Territory.   We decided to go Strawberry picking one morning at the Beerenberg Strawberry farm.  None of us had ever been berry picking before and had no idea what to expect.  Well, we had a blast!  HUGE, abundant strawberries just about jumping off the plants – YUM!  There is nothing like the taste of fresh produce picked straight from the plant and popped into your mouth (we did quite a bit of that………sssshhhhhh).

We had to start the adventure with the customary tourist shot.

The delight on my nephew’s face when he was allowed to just go ahead and pick whatever he liked was priceless!  He was THE BEST strawberry picker and took the task very seriously  🙂

This was such a great family activity.  The kids LOVED it (even us Mums thought it was pretty good too)!  If you are ever in the Adelaide Hills, I reccommend a trip to the Beerenberg Strawberry Farm, I guarantee you will have a ball.
